For the past 3.5 years I have kept a journal for Ruby...a collection of memories in small moments and brief snapshots. Quotes from her, things I want her to know, things I want to remember...I write it for her and to her...(it's also for me) When Jacob and I discussed the blog idea, I struggled with the thought because I was already having a hard time keeping up with Ruby's journal and I had started one (barely) for Miles. So, I am surrendering their journals to take a step forward- a move into the technological future-hence, the family blog!
So if you are reading our blog, please note that I am writing these rather random little snapshots because that is how I want to record our history and I am writing to my kids....thanks, Lyndsey

congradulations on your bravery for moving into the technological world! I am so happy you are blogging because we never see eachother and it helps us all to get to know eachother better and we get to know what's really going on in eachother's lives, especially the fun, touching, special moments that nobody talks about when you say "how are you" "fine." my blog is random aswell, it is a journal for me, so it's just my random thoughts or about my day. I love that you are writing about random whatevers- and especially the kids- I don't know if this would make my siblings happy or hurt- but my favorite part is about the kids- i love it so much- but obviously i love reading about everyone's lives too- i love all of it. Oh- and I'm having the same struggle you had with the journal but with my scrapbook- do I post ALL my pictures? and stop scrapbooking or just post some and continue my scrap books....
Your kids are so blessed to have you guys as parents. My poor children won't have a clue what they said when they were little. Maybe I should write a few things that I can remember for their sake.
If you were to read backwards to the girls blogs you would see that they add entries to their blogs that are strictly for history,and their kids history. So Like Danielle said, thank you for letting us be a part of your families life!! I struggle with the fact that I write in a journal, and sometimes I repeat myself here. I plan on having my blog printed once a year. So I guess if my children or grandchildren want to read about my life, they will have to read both. :-)
Thank goodness Rebecca explained to me that you write with caps and Jake writes in lowercase. I was so confused for a post or two. Welcome to the blogging world...we're glad to have you. Your posts are so cute of the kids. It makes me feel like I know them better.
